Local landmarks such as the Gothic Parish Church of St Margaret and the Święta Góra (lit. Holy Mountain) Baroque monastery complex are important elements of Gostyń’s culture. Nonetheless, of greatest significance are the local artists: people who express their talents through paintings, sculptures, photos, and music. In Gostyń, people can discover and practice their art skills by engaging in inspiring activities and events organised by the Hutnik cultural centre, regardless of age. The options are plenty — one can join a theatrical group, do arts and crafts en plein air, or participate in music workshops, just to name a few.

Children and young people can develop their musical talents in Józef Zeidler Primary Music School, where their live performances always gather a large audience. Our primary music school is also known for its brass band, which is composed of musicians of different expertise levels — both beginners and experts. The brass band performs in Poland and abroad, often featuring majorettes as part of their performance. Shows given by the two attract large crowds.

The folklore of Gostyń and its neighbouring regions is also very prominent, especially the folk performances and events that concern Biskupizna. The area where the folklore of Biskupizna is cultivated consists of several villages, including the village of Sikorzyn, which neighbours Gostyń. The traditions and ways of old bring the local community together and inspire awe in tourists.
